Monsoon season is upon us in Arizona which means your pool will probably require a little extra care. Keeping your pool clean during monsoon season can be challenging find a few tips below that will help keep your pool swimmable during the stormy season: 

Prepare for the monsoon storm

• Secure lawn furniture
• Tie-down loos rooted trees and plants
• Close any open umbrellas
• Store pool toys in a safe storage area
• Do not run your pool filter during the storm as it will become full of dirt and debris

Remove dirt and debris in a quick manner

• Remove branches and leaves as quickly as possible
• Vacuum dirt from the pool as soon as possible
• Clean the skimmer as it will collect storm debris
• The longer storm particles are left in your pool the more difficult it becomes to clean

Once the storm clears

• Check for pool water overflow
• Check the pressure of your pool filter to see if back-washing is required
• Check pool filter cartridges
