Filter Cleaning
Cartridge Filter Cleaning – Frequency: 2x-3x / year – Cost $145
Cartridge filters should be taken apart and thoroughly cleaned 2 – 4 times each year depending upon debris entering the pool. We clean the cartridges as well as inspect the cartridges, manifold, tank body, & the O-ring. Cartridges can last 3-4 years before needing replacing.
*neglected filters may require an additional cleaning fee.
D.E. Filter Cleaning – Frequency: 1x-2x / year – Cost $175
Diatomaceous Earth Pool Filters need to be disassembled, cleaned, and inspected yearly. We inspect all the filter grids and internal pieces. Girds may need replacing every 3-5 years
Sand Filter Sand Replacement – Frequency: Every 5-7 years – Cost: Varies depending upon filter size.
Sand replacement needs to be replaced due to buildup of suntan lotions, body oils, dirt, and chemical residues that cause the sand to clump, channel and does not allow the filter to efficiently filter the water.
*neglected filters may require an additional cleaning fee.
Cleaning Systems
Salt Cell Cleaning – Frequency: 2x-6x / year – Cost $35
Salt cells need to be cleaned to keep the calcium buildup between the plates to a minimum. Improper cleaning can shorten the life of a cell. Improper chemical balance and high TDS levels can cause the need for more frequent cleanings.
O-Rings, Gaskets & Pump Shaft Seals
Jandy Valve O-ring Service – As needed Cost $22.50 per valve
Standard Shaft Seal w/gaskets - $195
Pump lid, Leaf Catchers, etc… Cost varies
All items that have/use O-rings should be serviced accordingly. O-rings can flatten and crack which can cause air to leak in causing a suction leak or can cause water to leak out. Both of these situations can cause a “closed system” to become an open system which will put more strain on the system causing early failure.
Pool Draining – Frequency: Every 3-4 years – Cost $250 for normal play pool
Pool draining should be done every 3-4 years. The reason for draining a pool is to lower the level of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), and Cyanuric Acid (CYA). High levels of TDS and/or CYA makes it tougher for chlorine and other sanitizers to sanitize the pool.
Acid wash pool - $300
Chlorine wash pool - $275
